Governing a nation was never intended to be a solo job, so it only makes sense to enlist help. In Pathfinder: Kingmaker, that help comes in the form of Advisors, of which there are ten different stats and so ten different positions. These stats entail various things; one of the roles, for example, is an advisor who will provide combat support to protect your realm from any attacks.

Along with the ten stats, there are at least three advisor choices for every role, and which person you choose suits this role best is whatever you think is most consistent with your character's moral alignment.
10 Curator - Culture
Out of all the advisor choices in Kingmaker, the idea of a Curator is undoubtedly the strangest since it provides nowhere near as much use as the rest of the advisor roles. The Curator's role is to preserve the Stolen Lands' art, keeping the Kingdom's culture alive, and the three potential candidates for this are Linzi (CG), Jaethal (NE), and The Storyteller (TN).
The Curator will mainly be doing things like funding the development of schools and the backing of upcoming musicians. Whether you have true intentions to back these areas or are fueling them for your personal gain, it's not a position to worry about too much.
9 Magister - Arcane
The Magister is your Kingdom's court mage who can provide magical support for you and your people. Octavia (CG), The Storyteller (TN), and Vordakai (NE) are the candidates of which are the neutral evil options - Vordakai is the most dangerous choice because of your peoples' reception. Magic plays a significant role in Pathfinder: Kingmaker, but it isn't necessary for those not playing with an arcane build.
The side objectives themselves are a lot of fun to do, exploring ideas like those who want restrictions on magic and those who rely on it. The Magister affects not only the Arcane stat but also Divine and Community.
8 High Priest - Divine
The High Priest acts as a Religious Advisor mainly influencing the Divine stat, but can also impact the Arcane, Community, and Relations stats. The three choices to fit the High Priest role are; Harrim (CN), Jhod Kavken (LG), and Tsanna (CE). From a story standpoint, religion plays a crucial part with characters worshipping different gods, having various perspectives on how the world works, and the essential qualities a person should have.
The High Priest will complete tasks involving allowing people to build temples for their respective gods and deciding on the best way to let everyone believe in those gods without conflict.
7 Councilor - Loyalty
For dealing with influential people like nobles and merchants, there comes the Councilor role; the choices for this role are Tristian (NG), Shandra Mervey (TN), and Tsanna (CE). There are two pretty significant ways to play this role, you can go down the route of treating these people with the same amount of respect as you do anyone, or you can go lenient on them if you're playing with more of a chaotic evil run.

The Councilor's primary stat is Loyalty, but Community, Stability, and Military can inadvertently be affected also. Although you will be dealing with issues nobles face, most of a Councilor's tasks are to assist the merchants.
6 Warden - Stability
A Warden's duty is to the police, essentially making sure everything moves smoothly and is lawful. The Warden's objectives mainly impact Stability but can also affect Community and Loyalty. Ekundayo will be the best choice for this position, if you intend to keep everything in order and all communities happy, as he has a Lawful Good alignment, but there are other choices if you so wish.
Regongar (CE) and Kesten Garess (LN) are also viable options for the Warden role. Whoever takes up this position will be handling requests about individuals causing problems for others, so think over the best way to deal with these.
5 Regent - Community
The Regent advises over the needs of the common people and day-to-day problems that they can help with; it's important to keep not only those who are influential happy but also everyone within your kingdom; no one should be more important than the other. The leading stat for the Regent is Community and making sure this community flourishes together; however, they can also alter Economy, Loyalty, Stability, and Culture.
Valerie (LN), Octavia (CG), and Lander Lebeda (CE) are all people who can be selected to take up this role, and it's down to you who to choose since each person will have drastic differences in how they wish to solve a situation. Will they deplete or increase the conflict of the people?
4 General - Military
There's no doubt that war will appear through the entirety of Pathfinder since that's what you're introduced to in the very opening of the game. Everyone has an ideal way of dealing with something, and there's never going to be a way to make each of these people satisfied with the outcome. For protecting your own Kingdom and the people within, you'll need a General.

Amiri (CN), Regongar (CE), and Kassil Aldori (LN) are the choices for this role, and you'll need a solid leader to suit the upcoming tasks. A General's primary stat is Military, although they can also affect Stability, Divine, and Relations.
3 Treasurer - Economy
When you need to raise your build points and improve the Economy, look to a Treasurer. They'll influence the Economy, Relations, Stability, and Loyalty stats. The possible suitors for the job are Jubilost (CN), Kanerah (LE), Bartholomew Delgado (LE), and Maegar Varn (CG). A great deal of the assignments you'll be working with revolve around taxes and potential tax evasion.
Trading also plays a notable role in a Treasurer's job, as does Economic status. There's a ton of potential for playing dirty with this role. You can allow tax evaders to continue to do so if you wish, though your people won't be all too thrilled with the idea.
2 Grand Diplomat - Relations
Building up your Economy and furthering good relations with allies is where you should be devoting a good chunk of your time. Having these allies around means, you can get the extra hand in dire situations and earn rewards and respect through aiding your allies. An ideal for this role is to pick either someone aligned neutrally or with a good alignment since you won't want to risk ruining these relations.
The three potentials are Valerie (LN), Linzi (CG), Bartholomew Delgado (LE). A Grand Diplomat's primary focus is on Relations, though they can also complete tasks that increase aspects of Economy, Espionage, Military, and Culture, so it's quite the all-rounder.
1 Minister - Espionage
The Minister role can be filled by Jaethal (NE), Jubilost (CN), and Ekundayo (LG), where they will be providing support through finding out forbidden knowledge that can support your nation. With all the secrets spreading around, the Minister is single handily the most helpful advisor. You don't want to be in the dark about this kind of thing.
A Minister will mainly govern the Espionage stat but can also sway Relations, Military, and Arcane. The tasks of a Minister also follow along as what is essentially an extra-long side mission for you to unravel and solve.
