Awesome van for ski trips, surf trips, camping, gear hauling, etc. Sprinters are easy to drive, get great gas mileage (~22mpg HWY), and the 144" wheelbase fits in a normal parking spot. Nothing beats the high roof to have a warm, dry place to stand up & change clothes or put on ski boots, or just duck out the weather to eat lunch or play cards. We decided on a very flexible buildout with sound-dampening, insulation, electrical, and heating, along with the captain's chairs and removable bed platform. You can seat seven with the rear bench in, or convert to four seats and the queen-size bed platform for camping. Inflatable front cab air mattress is a perfect spot for a child to sleep. Or take out all seats if you have oversized cargo to move. Diesel Webasto cabin heater draws just a trickle of fuel and battery power so you can stay warm for days, we have been cozy camping in single-digit temps. Pre-wired for solar if you have visions of longer off-grid journeys. Rear stereo speakers and lights and a bottle opener on the back door for apres-ski or surf sessions.
